Announcement: End of Year Closing

Dear Customers, Potential Customers, Supporters and Well Wishers,

Thank you all for a great year so far. It's been an awesome experience these past 12 months (our 2nd year of operation!!!). Thanks to those who helped this business grow, and flourish. Thanks for making us a part of your special events.

We would also like to apologize to those who didn't have 100% pleasant experiences with us, for one reason or the other. Please be assured that lessons have been learned, and the same mistakes will not happen twice.

Store Holiday Schedule:
In observance of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, byMide stores and workshop will be closed from 24th Dec, 2012 to 1st Jan, 2013. Orders already in progress will be completed as planned, but no new orders will be accepted till 2nd Jan, 2013.

Please consider these dates as you make your plans.

In Other News...
This weekend, I got the opportunity to model some of my designs for one of my oldest and dearest friends, who is also one of the finest (in all senses of the word, hehe) photograpers I know, Folajimi Olujuyigbe. He's a perfectionist. I can't wait to see the final shots! I may also take up modeling sometime in the future. ;)

Special thanks to Bisco - the assistant model (lol), Bugz - the "stage" manager, and Midan - my very dapper arm-candy. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Here's a behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot.

Thank you once again, for a great year.

***Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance!!!***

A holiday kiss - from me to you!

I love the way it frames her head in this photo. She chose a blusher veil, so she was able to wear it throughout the ceremony.

These ladies are wearing Fascinator Nike, with a tweaked veil. I like that they were able to add their own vibes.

You have seen these babies before, but they are just too adorable...

I love customers like Blessing; she keep referring me. In this photo, she's wearing Estrella. She planned to give it to her Chief Bridesmaid. Hehehe.
Here are some things I worked on for a customer who I believe will become a dear friend.

My Workbench over the past few weeks...

Fascinator Tish, white, for Uyoyou

Fascinator Tish, for my cousins. They were attending their cousin's wedding and didn't want to tie asooke.

Fascinator Leslie

Oyeyemi, with a twist. Added some Crin.
Fascinator June below, done in Fuchsia. (I designed June to look like an Air Hostess' hat, in memory of those we lost on June 3rd, in the Dana Air crash. May their souls rest in peace.

Eloho (left) wearing June, and Uyoyou (right), wearing Oyeyemi.
 Some engagement Fans...

Godiya Kuroju's bridesmaids, wearing Fascinator Mide in Red Organza.

This engagement fan, made popular by Mrs. Godiya Kuroju, in Burnt Orange below, seems to be a fan-favorite. And the colors are so radiant.

The lovely iyawo, Lolade.

Lolade, had a small problem with her boutonnieres. So she begged me to put something together for her groom and the best man. This is my first attempt at boutonnieres in Naija. I think I tried yeah? :).

Dami Ola's friend's wedding. The bridesmaids are wearing Fascinator.

Doyin and Dante's bridesmaids below, are wearing Fascinator 'Kiru.

Mrs. Kanyin Oyewole's bridesmaids below, are wearing Fascinator Nikki.

Bunmi Amao's Bridesmaids, below, wearing Fascinator Emi. (I love the fro!)

Fascinators for Church! and then some.

I attend an Anglican Church that requires proper head covering, and many of the young people, like me, do not like proper hats. So, I 'threw' this together, with a wide tulle brim.

Fascinator Chioma

I have worked with some beautiful brides in the last few weeks!
